FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES:
The main and usual role of the employee in this employment category is to carry out maintenance, repair and transformation work in several construction trades.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Have a diploma or vocational training in a building specialty related to the employment category or have a diploma or certificate of studies recognized as equivalent by the competent authorities and have at least 4 years of relevant experience (e. g. electrician, plumber, etc.).
The Board may, at its discretion, waive any or all of the afore-mentioned qualifications if it finds a suitable candidate who is a beneficiary of the James Bay and Northern Québec Agreement (JBNQA) and who accepts, as a condition of employment, to follow a training plan determined by the Board.)
REQUIREMENTS:
WORKING HOURS: 38,75 hours per week.
CLASSIFICATION / SALARY / BENEFITS:
In accordance with the AENQ collective agreement for support staff. This position belongs to job category 5117: $29.37/hour, plus an attraction premium of 15%, a retention premium of $3,750 and a northern allowance ranging from $12,178 to $25,326. All benefits are prorated based on the percentage of the task.

The Kativik School Board provides education to the Inuit of Nunavik. Its facilities are located in the 14 communities on the Hudson and Ungava Bay coasts. Its administrative centre, presently located in Montréal, will ultimately be relocated in Nunavik.
