The Carrefour Familial Hochelaga (CFH) is a community organization dedicated to families made up of parents and significant adults and children aged 0-17. The CFH offers various services: The family home, the off-wall school and the Maison Oxygène Montréal. Maison Oxygène Montréal is a resource and community support for fathers experiencing personal, family or family difficulties. , and who have their children in the context of exclusive, shared or rights of access custody, or who are in the process of seeing their children. Present in Montreal for 30 years, it consists of two houses and four supervised apartments with a total capacity of 16 fathers with their children. JOB SUMMARY Under the supervision of the coordination , and in close collaboration with the team, the worker provides intervention and support for fathers and their children. MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Welcoming, listening, supporting and refer fathers and men in need of help. • Help fathers to design a stay plan including personalized objectives and means. • Support and guide fathers in their approach concerning the components following: ▪ Socio-professional reintegration ▪ Health and well-being ▪ Housing ▪ Development of parenting skills • Offer weekly follow-ups to support fathers on the material, personal and parental plan . • Ensure follow-up by accompanying fathers in external resources (legal aid, employment service, partner organizations). • Plan and lead thematic activities with fathers and children (eg .: co-parenting). • Manage and participate in the daily life of Maison Oxygène and enforce the code of life (monitoring resident tasks, meeting residents, presence in the living environment). > • Record keeping and writing notes and reports. • Being responsible for certain specific files (logistics, monitoring statistics, hygiene and sanitation, activities, representation, etc.) • Participating in meetings team (1 / week), clinical meetings (2 / month) and large team meetings (4 / year) • Use the approach centered on the development of power to act (DPA) as well as a solution-oriented approach. • Encourage and promote a place positive fathers in society. • Participate in team life as well as in the development of the Carrefour Familial Hochelaga. • All other related tasks related to the management and development of the resource. JOB REQUIREMENTS Training and experiences • DEC in special education or university degree in a field of specialization appropriate to the job (drug addiction, special education, social work, mental health) or any experience deemed relevant. • Experience working with men, children, cultural communities and / or disadvantaged populations an asset. Skills and knowledge • Mastery of different intervention techniques including crisis management. • Ability to write reports.
