Under the authority of the Assistant Director, the position of Stage Manager in the Material Resources Department is to provide management functions for the technical and administrative activities required to implement one or more of the programs of the Department of Physical Resources. Material Resources Service of the School Board.
The job primarily involves the exercise of management responsibilities for all activities related to procurement and logistics. The job consists of assuming, within his field of expertise, a role of consulting services and functional expertise with the school board's managers to promote the optimal management of material resources.
This job mainly involves the following responsibilities:
Produce or have produced the technical documents necessary for the planning of construction, development and renovation projects; Supervise the work carried out by professional firms and external contractors while ensuring the quality of these, Ensuring, with the personnel under his supervision, effective and efficient project planning, implementation and management; Ensure the budget follow-up of the projects under his responsibility; Collaborate in the drafting of tenders and the selection of service providers; Participate, upon request, in the consultative process for the development of the Commission's orientations and strategies with respect to physical resources services and more specifically its sector of activity and, where appropriate, collaborate determining the annual plan of action; Participating, on request, in the development and updating of policies, systems, standards and procedures related to its sector of activity and ensure their implementation; Make sure that all the preventive and curative maintenance works and the maintenance operations are carried out; Ensure the availability ofall the equipment required for the maintenance of the commission's facilities; Assuming the responsibilities entrusted to him with regard to the protection of movable and immovable property; Participate, upon request, in the development of rules and procedures for procurement, procurement and inventory management; Participate, upon request, in the development of policies relating to the planning and use of premises, spaces and equipment; Collaborate, on request, with the production of material resource management tools adapted to the needs of institutions and other administrative units; Participate in the development and maintenance of policies, systems, standards and procedures related to their business line and ensure their implementation; Participate in the development of the budget of its sector of activities and follow up on request; Participate in the selection of staff; Supervise and evaluate the staff under his / her responsibility; Evaluate the training needs of the staff under his responsibility; Assist, as required, the managers of the institutions and administrative units of the school board; Participate in the revision of the building conservation plan; Move on site, Represent, if necessary, the CSDL or its administrative unit to external organizations; Assume any other related responsibility, compatible with its function, that may be entrusted to it by its immediate superior.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED Diploma of Collegial Studies in an appropriate field of study with six (6) years of relevant experience;
OR Secondary School Diploma in an appropriate field of study with ten (10) years of relevant experience;
OTHER REQUIREMENTS Hold a valid driver's license (unrestricted) and own a vehicle (travel allowance provided) Hold a valid ASP construction card; Master Microsoft Word, Excel and Project software.
