POST PEDAGOGICAL ADVISOR NATURE OF WORK The employment of educational counselor more specifically includes advisory and support functions with stakeholders from educational establishments and educational services with regard to the implementation, development and evaluation of study programs, classroom management and didactics. SOME ATTRIBUTIONS CHARACTERISTICS The pedagogical adviser collaborates in the realization of the educational project and specific projects of the establishments; he or she participates in the development, implementation and evaluation of their success plan while respecting the educational and administrative frameworks, both at the level of the establishments and of the school board. It or he collaborates in the implementation of study and training programs, advises teachers and management regarding the interpretation of these programs, designs and conducts workshops and training sessions on the elements of the program; she or he collaborates in the development of learning situations and supports classroom experimentation. She or he advises and supports teachers on an individual and collective basis to support daily action ; she or he designs or selects and coordinates training and instrumentation activities for the needs of adaptation, innovation and educational development. She or he instructs teachers on assessment learning; she or he supports them in the design, development or adaptation of assessment tools. She or he participates with teachers in the development and implementation of strategies and projects to helpstudents who present or who are likely to present adjustment or learning difficulties. She or he advises supervisory, teaching and professional staff on matters relating to staff development programs , plans these programs and assesses the results. She or he analyzes and advises on the selection of teaching materials, complementary materials, equipment, software and relevant software packages; she or he advises on the layout of the premises. She or he advises school workers on the means of integrating technologies into teaching; he or she collaborates in the realization of projects which go in this direction; she or he develops and conducts training and information workshops on the elements of the technology integration program. She or he collaborates with other stakeholders in the school environment, partner organizations and the Ministry of Education and Higher Education. In addition, the educational counselor in general adult education and vocational training contributes to the visibility of the school board among socio-economic partners. -economic and establishes a promotion plan accordingly. He or she meets with representatives of various companies in order to jointly develop training programs that meet the needs of the company and its staff; she or he prepares memorandums of understanding and service offers. He or he participates in the organization of work-study programs, internships in companies and visits to industry; he or she supports the teachers concerned; he or she informs and advises employers. QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED Undergraduate university degree in a field of specialization appropriate to the job, particularly in education.
