Under the authority of Information Technology Branch, the incumbent will be responsible for the management (planning, organization, direction, control, evaluation) of the technology management activities of the organization. information.

The job also consists of assuming an important role of consulting and functional expertise with the general management and all the managers of the school board.

This job includes the following responsibilities:

Ø Participate in the development of the Commission's guidelines and strategies for the IT services for which it is responsible and, where appropriate, determine the annual action plan;

Ø collaborate on the definition of the action plan, objectives and policies specific to the service;

Ø direct the development, implementation, development, revision, maintenance, safe operation and control of computerized systems, office automation, networking and telecommunications tools;

Ø participate in the development of information technology standards and procedures;

Ø participate in setting up the regulatory and legal framework for information technologies;

Ø participate in setting up the various mechanisms for consultation and consultation;

Ø collaborate in the development of the staffing plan and participate in the selection of staff;

Ø collaborate on budgeting, distribution and budget monitoring;

Ø direct, supervise and evaluate the performance of the staff under his / her responsibility;

Ø direct all operations related to the areas of activity that will be entrusted to him;

Ø assist and advise the department director, as well as the senior staff of other departments and institutions in relation to the programs under his / her responsibility;

Ø replace, if necessary, the direction of the service and assume any other responsibility compatible with its function which can entrust to him his immediate superior.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

Ø Undergraduate degree in an appropriate field of study leading to a minimum three-year university degree program or holding a post of senior administrator or manager whose minimum qualifications require holding an undergraduate degree in a school board;

Ø Six (6) years of relevant experience;

Ø Have experience in project management, IT development, maintenance and IT operations;

Ø Have a good knowledge of the following concepts: (ITIL, Agile, CMMI, ERP, KPI).

EXPERIENCE AND PROFILE SOUGHT

· Good knowledge of the education community and especially school boards;

· Good knowledge of technopedagogy;

· Good capacity in personnel management;

· Ability to motivate a team;

· Possess superior administrative management skills that support decentralization and a supportive role for institutions and services;

· Excellent communication skills both orally and in writing;

· Ability to define work methods in a work organization perspective and standardization of IT processes;

· Good knowledge of the laws, regulations and standards of the information technology sector.
