L’Association des personnes avec une déficience de l’audition est un organisme communautaire qui a pour mission de favoriser l’inclusion sociale des personnes vivant avec une déficience de l’audition en offrant des services d’aide et d’entraide, puis de défense de droits tout en sensibilisant et en conscientisant la population aux besoins de ces personnes et de leur réalité.

L’Association des personnes avec une déficience de l’audition privilégie une approche systémique de l’adaptation de l’individu à son milieu. Au sein de notre organisme, le malentendant est le premier agent de son acclimatation. Nous considérons les membres de la famille comme les principaux intervenants auprès de la personne. Puisque l’APDA est un organisme d’aide et d’entraide, nous accordons une grande place aux bénévoles dans le processus d’adaptation, ce qui répond à des besoins d’appartenance et de soutien au quotidien. Les responsables de l’organisme peuvent aider les individus qui rencontrent des problèmes dans leurs habitudes de vie. En raison de l’interaction constante entre le malentendant et son environnement, l’APDA intervient en tentant d’amenuiser les obstacles environnementaux et comportementaux par la communication, l’information, la formation et la participation à différentes tables de concertation et des comités particuliers afin de sensibiliser les autorités politiques et législatives aux besoins et aux droits de la personne vivant avec une déficience de l’audition.

Description de l’offre d’emploi

Sous la responsabilité de la direction, le ou la titulaire du poste conseille l’équipe quant aux stratégies de communication à adopter dans ses relations avec les personnes ayant une déficience de l’audition. Il ou elle intervient auprès de la clientèle cible et leurs proches en vue de faciliter leur intégration sociale ou leur adaptation.

Le ou la titulaire du poste est aussi chargé.e de projet du Service DOA, impliquant, la gestion opérationnelle, l’application de techniques et de méthodes adaptées à une clientèle vulnérable afin de les accompagner dans le processus menant à l’appareillage de prothèses auditives.

Principales fonctions et responsabilités

Guider la clientèle dans la trajectoire de service à l’audition.
Accompagner les personnes malentendantes dans les attitudes à adopter pour sensibiliser et informer leur entourage et les services publics quant à leur condition ainsi qu’aux stratégies de communication à utiliser.
Traiter les demandes du service D’une Oreille à l’Autre; gérer les dossiers clients et coordonner les activités.
Collaborer à la rédaction des ententes, des demandes de subventions et des redditions de comptes.
Développer des partenariats avec les spécialistes du domaine de l’audition.
Suivre les développements sur les aides auditives et les programmes de recherche en santé auditive.
Participer aux travaux du comité Accessibilité ainsi qu’à la Table de concertation sur l’accessibilité universelle.

PROFIL RECHERCHÉ

Études et expérience

Diplôme d'études collégiales en éducation spécialisée avec expérience pertinente ou l'équivalent dans un domaine pertinent.
Minimum de trois années d’expérience dans un poste similaire.
