Job Description

Vanguard School is looking for an Elementary Lunch Facilitator. Reporting to the Student Life Coordinator, the Lunch Facilitator is the person who supervises and supports students during lunch.

Required profile

• Hold a Secondary 5 diploma or hold a diploma or certificate of studies whose equivalence is recognized.
• Be available during elementary school lunch periods, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.;
• Have experience in animation and intervention with young people;
• Proficiency in spoken and written French and good knowledge of English;
• Ability to work in a team.

Tasks

• In collaboration with the team of animators, plan and lead activities during the lunch recess period;
• Supervise students in the various meeting rooms;
• Exercise preventive supervision and active in informing students about the regulations in force and corrective monitoring by sanctioning inappropriate behavior according to the rules in force;
• Ensure the follow-up of punitive and restorative measures;
• Intervene when the situation requires it;
• Communicate all problematic situations to teachers, the student life coordinator or the administration;
• Ensure compliance with the school's code of conduct;
• As needed, perform other related tasks.

Salary offered

Between $21.37 and $25 per hour, depending on experience.
