We are looking for a Recovery Counselor, specializing in addiction & substance abuse, ready to make a real difference in an Indigenous community in the Far North. Your main responsibilities:
- Contribute to the structuring, organization, and clinical continuity of the center.
- Assist with the guest admission process.
- Prepare guest kits in anticipation of the new cycle.
- Complete the admission process with assigned guests upon arrival.
- Help clients identify problem areas, set goals, and develop follow-up plans.
- Ensure guests respect house rules, participate in the treatment program, and are aware of the consequences of non-participation.
- Assess patients' needs and abilities, and define rehabilitation goals.
- Plan and deliver individualized and group interventions.
- Provide psychosocial support and refer to appropriate resources.
- Provide support to evening and on-call patients
- Conduct field interventions, SAD
Desired Profile:
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work or Psychoeducation
- Experience in addiction & substance abuse - Required
- 2 to 5 years of experience
- Bilingualism Required
- Certificate in addiction and substance abuse - a major asset
- Member of the AEESQ order - an asset
